Reindeer, polar bears, penguins and a 20 foot Christmas tree are some of the attractions at a house in Wells.

The Christmas switch on of 40,000 LED lights has been organised by Paul Toole at his home, 18 Manning Close.

American singer Judy Pancoast has been invited to perform her hit single, "The House on Christmas Street".

The lights will be switched on by BBC presenter Martin Roberts from Homes under the Hammer at 7.30pm. Free mulled wine and mince pies will be handed out.

The singer, Judy Pancoast is regarded as an icon in the States for serious Christmas decorators where the practice is more widespread.

For Paul, her appearance at his house will be a real coup.

"Having Judy with us on the switch-on night is a dream come true," said Paul.

"I've used Judy's music in my display for the past four years and her songs tell a story about Christmas with which we are all so familiar."

All the money raised will be donated to Make-a-Wish Foundation UK.
