The flying displays began with the Fly Navy 100 Flypast but the poor weather made flying conditions difficult.
This is the Imagineering Hangar where naval engineers were showing how to take off the helicopter blades.
Spectators could get great views of aircraft taking off and landing.
Over 30,000 people attended the event and, like this couple, enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere.
The Merlin was also in action at RNAS Yeovilton.
Because of the bad weather the Red Arrows weren't able to put on their full routine.
Spectators could also have a step inside other aircraft on the naval base.
There were lots of activities for children like trying out weapons in the army recruitment marquee.
Although the weather wasn't as good as hoped people turned out in their thousands.
The Sopwith Pup, a First World War bi-plane was also on display at the Imagineering Hangar.
The Commando Helicopter Force were also at the base giving children the chance to abseil 60 feet down a specially built tower.
