Bridgwater Carnival took place on 6 November 2009.
Last year around £26,000 was raised for charities.
The event saw over 100 illuminated carts as well as walking displays take part.
Some carnival carts can use as many as 25,000 light bulbs.
It is estimated that over 100,000 people attended the annual event.
The themes of the carts were based on music and films.
Bridgwater Carnival marks the start of the Guy Fawkes Carnival circuit.
The carnival moves onto North Petherton, Glastonbury, Shepton Mallet, Wells, Midsomer Norton (unofficial carnival), Weston-super-Mare and Burnham-on-Sea after Bridgwater.
Bridgwater Carnival was the first carnival to take place and is the biggest on the circuit.
Pudsey was there along with BBC Somerset's Morning Show presenter, Emma Britton.
The annual event is always the first Friday after Bonfire Night, however this is a recent change as it used to be held on Thursdays.
This walking group had the theme which summed up the night - Singing In The Rain.
The carts are built in members' free time on a voluntary basis.
Many carnivals are struggling to survive as a lot of money is needed to keep them going.
Each carnival cart can cost around £20,000. A series of fund raising events are held throughout the year.
Each entrant is judged and the ultimate prize is the County Cup.
People packed the streets of Bridgwater, to get the best view possible wherever they could find it.
The original Bridgwater celebrations featured a large bonfire built out of a wooden boat to which around 100 tar barrels were set alight at the Cornhill.
The tradition was stopped however due to the lack of old wooden boats to burn and because a number of good boats were thrown onto the fire and burned by revellers.
Carnival carts can be 100ft (30m) long.
