The Darwin bicentenary event at West Mid Showground has been cancelled
Dozens of bonfire events are planned on Thursday, 5 November, while others keep their powder dry until the weekend. Many bonfires and firework displays are free, but some require an entry fee. The county's biggest event is at Donnington on 14 November, on Broadoaks Playing field, starting at 6pm. Thursday, 5 November On 5 November there is a fireworks display outside Longden Village Hall, south of Shrewsbury off the A49. The event is free, but there will be a charity collection. Gates open at 6pm. Also on 5 November there are bonfires and firework displays at Westhope Village Hall at 7pm (entry £1) and at Baschurch Pre-school. Wem's biggest event will be the Sports and Social Association bonfire and fireworks at Bowensfield. The fire will be lit at 7pm, followed by fireworks from 7.30pm. in the Ironbridge Gorge on 7 November can watch this year's fireworks extravaganza from the newly extended green. The display over the Ironbridge Gorge starts at around 7.30. Tickets must be booked in advance.
Bonfire and fireworks events are place in Shropshire's towns and villages

Oswestry Oswestry Town Council and the Treble Niners Bonfire and Fireworks evening from 7pm on Saturday 7 November at Brogyntyn. Park at the rear of Oswestry Fire Station. Admission is £5 for adults but free entry for children. The display has been going for over 20 years and has raised some £60,000 for local causes. Wellington Wellington Cricket Club holds its annual Bonfire Night display on Saturday, 7 November. As well as fireworks there will be a funfair, entertainment, food and drink. The money raised goes towards funding the club's youth section and donations will be made to the Wellington Mayor's charity, Telford Lions and Help for Heroes. Westbury Westbury is holding its annual fireworks and bonfire on Saturday, 7 November. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm and the fireworks start at 7pm. A Remembrance Service takes place at Cosford's RAF Museum

There is a special Remembrance Sunday service at the
RAF Museum at Cosford
on Sunday, 8 November. It will be lead by the Rev Sqn Ldr P S Edwards who is the chaplain at RAF Cosford. The service will be held in front of the Comet aircraft with visitors, members of the Air Training Corps and RAF personnel present. There is also a service at the United Church in Oakengates at 11am on Sunday, 8 November. And there is a chance to raise money for charity in Whitchurch. There is a Festive Food and Gift Fair at the Civic Centre. The proceeds of the event will go to the
