Miserable at his job, Karthik yields less than average results because of lack of confidence. Whilst his boss treats him like dirt, Shonali, his work colleague who he secretly loves doesn't even know he exists. Karthik is a loser, knows it and accepts it. He believes his life can't get any worse when suddenly one night, the phone rings. He is shocked to learn that the caller is also called Karthik. It is not long before the voice on the telephone becomes his guide, his mentor, friend and guardian. Deepika Padukone plays Shonali, an outgoing and confident character in the movie which is also being described as a psychological thriller. The movie also stars Shefali Shah and Boman Irani. Vijay Lalwani who made many television advertisements makes his directorial debut with this film.
