Karthik is a guy who is an introvert by nature and shy by choice.

Miserable at his job, Karthik yields less than average results because of lack of confidence.

Whilst his boss treats him like dirt, Shonali, his work colleague who he secretly loves doesn't even know he exists. Karthik is a loser, knows it and accepts it.

He believes his life can't get any worse when suddenly one night, the phone rings.

He is shocked to learn that the caller is also called Karthik. What's more, this mysterious man wants to change Karthik's life for the better!

With nothing to loose, Karthik decides to keep in touch with the caller. It is not long before the voice on the telephone becomes his guide, his mentor, friend and guardian.

And most importantly, he becomes the ticket to the love of his life, which changes in more ways than he had ever imagined.

Karthik Calling Karthik is a thrilling, soulful and romantic journey of this man's victory against all odds.

Deepika Padukone plays Shonali, an outgoing and confident character in the movie which is also being described as a psychological thriller. The movie also stars Shefali Shah and Boman Irani.

Vijay Lalwani who made many television advertisements makes his directorial debut with this film.

The movie is releasing on 26 February in UK cinemas by EROS International, the distributor for this movie.
