Sikh lad Harpreet Singh Bedi (Ranbir) has received low grades in his college finals. Despite this shortfall, an enthusiastic Harpreet decides to become a salesman. He lands himself a trainee job at AYS Computers, an aggressively competitive company full of high flyers.

Having given a decent upbringing by his grandfather (Prem), a disillusioned Harpreet is shocked seeing corruption raising its ugly head to meet monthly targets.

He is reduced to making 'cold calls' from his desk when he refuses to use bribery to secure his orders from major companies.

But Harpreet has other ideas up his sleeve. He decides to utilise the office facilities to open his own company - Rocket Sales Corp!

He soon wins the friendship and help of his work colleagues as sales orders reach a record high right under the noses of AYS senior managers. But all hell breaks loose when they finally realise what this young entrepreneur has been up to.

Will Harpreet be able to keep his company? A surprising turn of events reveals all in this feel good entertainer with an underlying message to all hard-sellers out there!

Director Shimit tackles the subject of salesmanship with realism but his portrayal of 'honesty is the best business policy' does get preachy after a while!

It is also hard to digest Harpreet's work colleagues helping his newly formed company when they know he has been humiliated for his work ethics. What's more, they all agree to join Harpreet's company without anyone in AYS Computers noticing!

Ranbir Kapoor comes up trumps again showcasing all the mannerism of his Sikh character with great ease although his voice modulation does reminds us of Sid and Prem from Wake Up Sid and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani respectively.

The main driving force of Rocket Singh comes from various characters joining Harpreet's company which boils down to Shimit's detailed characterisation.

This comes from the ever-so-eager receptionist wanting the managerial postion; the sex-starved computer engineer, the nasty team leader and off course the money orientated company manager are just some of the characters aiding the movie's flow.

Rocket Singh is an inspirational entertainer interspersed with humour about the Indian sales industry. A watch-able treat!
