Howard Pressman

Howard hits the airwaves from 3-7pm every weekday with great music, great guests and a look at the issues which matter to you. He's back from 10am-2pm on Saturday.

What's your first memory?

My Mum and Dad taking me to Pontin's in Weston Super Mare for a holiday when I was five years old... Holiday's don't come any better than that!!!

Bat Out Of Hell, the album by Meat Loaf

Your favourite three songs?

Don Henley - The Boys Of Summer, Don Henley - New York Minute, Don Henley - The Heart Of The Matter... anyone guess that I'm a Don Henley fan?!

Who's been your best interviewee & why?

Jane McDonald... I did an hour special with her, she's just so down to earth and can belt out a good tune too!!

What's the most embarrassing thing you've said on-air?

One of the only one I can repeat on the website was when referring to Sir Francis Chichester and his fantastic voyage around the world, I said that Sir Francis Chichester had circumsised the world instead of circumnavigated the world!

What's been your career highlight?

Meeting my all time musical hero Don Henley, back stage at a gig in Huddersfield

How do you spend your time away from the microphone? I love cooking and enjoying my hobby as an aviation enthusiast... (Very Sad)

Favourite place in South Yorkshire or North Derbyshire - and why?

Robin Hood Doncaster/ Sheffield airport... don't ask why.

As a 10-year-old child, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to fly airliners or fast jets, but I was told at 10 years old that I was colour-blind and a devastated 10 year old Howard Pressman had to think of something else to do.

Who would you like to be trapped in a lift with?

Jennifer Aniston.

Favourite food and drink?

Lasagne and an ice cold glass of cider.

What do you never miss on television?

I love watching football.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Buy a plane (oh I'm so predictable).

Howard Pressman: Monday to Friday 1500-1800 and Saturdays 1000-1400
