Magnificent Tudor monuments in the Cathedral's Shrewsbury Chapel. One commemorates the 6th Earl of Shrewsbury, husband of Bess of Hardwick and guardian of Mary, Queen of Scots during her 14 years of imprisonment in Sheffield.
St George’s Chapel in the Cathedral commemorates the York & Lancashire Regiment. It contains a fence of swords and bayonets accompanied by regimental flags.
Underbank Unitarian Chapel in Stannington, Sheffield is situated on the side of a beautiful valley with fine views. The chapel is the oldest church in the suburb. It opened in 1743, with the original dating from 1652.
The interior of Underbank Unitarian Chapel was much altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. There is a gallery at the east end and the pews date from 1860.
St Paul's on Wordsworth Avenue was designed by Basil Spence the architect of Coventry Cathedral. The east and west ends are glass, and the north and south sides are brick. Most of the furnishings are original; additions fit with the original Spence design.
