Sneak preview of Benjamin Till's A Symphony for Yorkshire

A Symphony for Yorkshire is a new and unique piece of music commissioned by the BBC which will be broadcast on Yorkshire Day, Sunday 1st August.

The four movements have been composed by Benjamin Till and the lyrics were written by Doreen Brigham, a 98-year-old great-grandmother from Harrogate.

The complete Symphony will be broadcast on BBC Radio Sheffield on Sunday August 1 with build-up from 11 am. BBC Look North broadcasts one of the four movements from the symphony each night from Monday 2 to Thursday 5 August.

The full symphony will also be available online from 11:15 am on August 1.
