Chair of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic games visited Sheffield in November 2009 to promote the 2012 event.

A warehouse at Brightside in Sheffield has been transformed into a theatre for a play adapted from George Orwell's classic, 1984.

Current and historic photos of Sheffield from a Facebook group are going on display in Castle Market next year.
