80's Rewind turns back the clock

The event takes place from the 21st to the 23rd of August

It's like a surreal dream this one -the biggest names of my youth back in Oxfordshire to do it all over again for two days of festival cheer!

This is the inaugural event so I can't draw on my vast reserves of festival knowledge, but looking at the bill I don't have to.

Just cast your mind back 20 years and you're there.

Just imagine Kim Wilde, Rick Astley, Bananarama and Billy Ocean... the list goes on.

I came back from holiday and found out that this was happening and there was already some considerable excitement in the office.

Paul Young, Go West, Midge Ure, Nik Kershaw... I mean really, did someone have these guys stored away in a bottle? I think the names speak for themselves.

As for the feel of the festival, I can't yet comment, though after the event I think most of this office will have something to say.
