Phil presents our Weekend Breakfast show, but he is a man of many talents.
He first proved his worth in a long stint for Premier Radio in London, and his other credits include BBC Essex and Classic FM.
He also gave the traffic reports for Virgin Radio from the back of a Cessna airplane!
These days you might spot Phil out and about in the countryside of Oxfordshire. He regularly leads BBC Oxford's Get Active walks.
He blames this habit on his family dragging him up various Welsh mountains or across moors on wet and windy holidays throughout his childhood.
To contrast that, he is also a big film fan, fronting 'Film Friday' for our Daytime show. He heads down to cinemas to put his opinions to the test.
So far he has loved films like Slumdog Millionaire, In the Loop, Batman and the 1980's classic The Money Pit. He didn't like the Hannah Montana films so much.
Q & A
1. How did you get into radio?
After a short stint in hospital radio, got dragged to the AA to read travel news featuring on this very radio station. On my first bulletin I made my mark by mentioning a place called Bi-sester! I learnt quickly.
2. What was your first broadcast?
A short programme on the latest chart music from my mate Ian's bedroom using our "Learn electrics" kits - I was 8!
3. What other jobs have you done besides broadcasting?
Tried my hand at fast food retail. It was the most stressful job I've ever had!
4. What would you like to be if you weren't a radio presenter?
A pilot. Always loved aeroplanes as my father worked at the airport.
5. What would listeners be surprised to learn about you?
I nearly became a Bio Chemist!
6. Which person would you most enjoy being stuck in a lift with?
Someone to make me laugh, probably Eddie Izzard or Joan Rivers. But preferably a lift engineer!
7. If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Build a big house in the countryside. Buy my own café. Own a boat. Travel the world. Buy a car that is useless for anything apart from Sunday afternoons in the sun. Have an apartment in Oxford, New York, Paris and Wellington. Own a race horse. Retire. I've not thought about it really!
8. What is your worst habit?
Picking my belly button fluff.
9. Tell us about your 1st:
Car: MG Metro (it blew up within two months!)
Kiss: It was as much a shock for them, as it was for me
Record/CD: Superheroes, by the Firm!
10. What is your favourite?

Sandwich: Chicken pesto and mayo in a torpedo!
Place in Oxfordshire: The white horse on a windy day.
Item of Clothing: My Abercrombie and Fitch hoodie. It's getting a bit snug now (I refer you to my food answer!)

TV Show: Battlestar Galactica (the new series!) - he says pulling his anorak on.
