Louisa Hannan

Before she started presenting BBC Oxford's mid-morning programme, Louisa did a strange variety of jobs.

These ranged from working as a Script Editor on EastEnders through to selling perfume at Boots!

However, her strangest has to be when she worked on Channel 4's The Big Breakfast in the late nineties.

Now Louisa gets to talk to interesting people from all over Oxfordshire about their jobs and pastimes and what really matters to them.

So what is Louisa really like on and off air and how did she end up being a radio presenter?

Outside work Lou loves the theatre: "I'm a sucker for the musicals - Blood Brothers, Les Mis and Jersey Boys are my favourites".

She also enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like walking her miniature dachshund Josh and, of course, shoe shopping.

Louisa said: "At the moment, there is not one orifice in my house which isn't stuffed with shoes. I love them - stilettos are my favourite - the higher the better".

Lou has well over 500 pairs now, and obviously she can hardly walk in most of them.

Join Lou weekday mornings from 10 as she brings you reaction from around the county on the day's talking points, the best celebrity interviews and a range of experts to give you free advice... where else can you get that sort of service?

Q & A

1. How did you get into radio?

It's the same old story - I worked for free and eventually it paid off! When I first started, I was doing mad split shifts for six months, working seven days a week and having a second job at Central TV, so it was a hectic time.

2. What was your first broadcast?

It was on Thames Valley FM presenting the travel news.

3. What other jobs have you done besides broadcasting?

My first ever job was as a perfume assistant in Boots! I've also worked in the script department at EastEnders and done numerous other jobs including teaching adults computer skills.

4. What would you like to be if you weren't a radio presenter?

I always wanted to be a primary school teacher, but there was a flaw in the plan when I realised I don't really like children... I also have an ambition to become a Private Investigator.

5. What would your listeners be surprised to learn about you?

I have a bizarre shoe fetish! I have over 400 pairs. I also appeared in an episode of Holby City!

6. Which person would you most enjoy being stuck in a lift with?

Can I have two? They'd be Marc Warren who plays Danny Blue in Hustle and Nick Knowles from DIY SOS - he's lovely - and he'd be able to fix the lift.

7. If you won the lottery, what would you do with the money?

Apart from the usual of making sure my friends and family were looked after, I'd buy my own desert island and put lots of shoe shops on it.

8. What is your worst habit?

I've been told I'm very indecisive, but I'm not so sure...

9. Tell us about your 1st:

Car: A blue Ford Fiesta called Barrowman

Job: Boots as a Perfume Assistant

Kiss: I'm only 30. Should I have had a first kiss by now?

Record/CD: Keith Harris and Orville, I Wish I Could Fly. I still play it.

10. What is your favourite:

Food: My mum's roast dinner

Sandwich: Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato

Place in Oxfordshire: My bed

Item of clothing: A pair of black thigh-high boots with four inch heels. I can't walk in them, but they look nice.

Song: That's Life - Frank Sinatra

Singer: Sammy Davies Jnr.

Film: I'd like to say something French and arty but I'd be lying - it's probably Dirty Dancing or some other Chic Flick

T.V Show: Hustle
