Adrian's Coal Tit painting impressed the judges at BBC Wildlife
The work of a Didcot artist has made the final of the BBC Wildlife Artist of The Year Competition. Adrian Smart's paintings have also been accepted into the Plus One Gallery in Sloane Square. His art falls in the hyperrealism genre, where paintings can often be mistaken for real life photography. "I have worked towards this moment since childhood and am grateful to all the people who have supported and commissioned my work" Adrian said. The artist has been drawing and painting birds since he was a child, and his passion for ornithology has led to his work being used in guides by the RSPB and Northmoor Trust.
