In the winter of 2008 Science Oxford played host to the Shell Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.
Work from the world's top professional and amateur photographers was on display in the heart of the city.
There were also pictures from Oxfordshire's own incredible photographers.
They received over 160 shots of our native flora and fauna from all corners of the county, a selection of which you can see in the gallery on this page.
The photos were judged by a panel of experts, including CEO of Science Oxford Dr Ian Griffin, local wildlife photographer Craig Churchill, and Chairman of the Oxford Photographic Society Philip Joyce.
Over 2500 people went to see the winning and shortlisted photos, which were on display at Science Oxford during November and December 2008.
