Derek Miller and Alexis Krauss

Little under two years ago, Derek E. Miller (former guitarist of Florida post-hardcore outfit Poison The Well) relocated to uber-cool Williamsburg.

He blagged himself a job in a Brazilian restaurant, then managed to convince a customer to join his new band!

With only a string of rough MP3s to their name so far, what began as his home recording project has quickly become New York's band du jour.

They are so hot MIA's NEET Recordings are reportedly keen to snap them up.

Brooklyn's dynamic duo displays a cosmic chemistry on stage - a joint affinity for volume over clarity.

Derek's overdriven riffs and concise hip-hop beats are pushed beyond distortion whilst the sugary sweet melodies of Alexis Krauss are driven way into the red.

Rattling through their set in just under 25 minutes - including crowd pleasers Crown On The Ground and Infinity Guitars - Sleigh Bells spit out a mash-up of ferocious synth-pop and in-yer-face dirty dance anthems that are going to be near impossible to miss on this side of the pond in 2010.
