Over the past 18 months, this down and dirty Texan power trio have steamed towards crossover success.

This is mainly thanks to the drive of their infamous live shows - songs merge into each other with barely a pause.

The set ebbs and flows through the soft-hearted to the ferocious. All points on the musical compass are covered.

New LP Fits is more coherent than debut Workout Holiday, yet sacrifices none of its imagination.

These three are no slackers in the boundary-pushing department and no one should mistake them for a back-to-basics enterprise, oh no!....killer new single I Start To Run proves that danceable rock music doesn't always have to fit the Brooklyn template.

This wild-haired bunch of stoner geeks were initially inspired to make music by playing air guitar and head-banging to the likes of Yes, The Kinks and King Crimson, but for all the comparisons, their music is quite simply effortlessly fun.

It would almost be too simple to describe White Denim as possibly one of the most exciting bands around today, but…
