Audio slideshow: A day in the life of an inmate

HMP Nottingham opened in 1890 as a city gaol. It is a category B local prison, for inmates who
do not require maximum security but for whom escape needs to be made difficult. It is a prison
where a person is detained before a trial or directly after a conviction and serves the courts of
Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

In this audio slideshow an inmate describes a typical day inside.

Photographed and recorded by Dan Sinclair.
