Sports therapist Gillian Higgins paints horses to teach people about anatomy.
She uses harmless water-based paints to show how muscles work in conjunction with the skeleton. It can take up to four hours to complete.
"It's never the same twice," she said. "I just love the subject that I do. I find it very rewarding."
Ms Higgins, 27, from Nottingham, is thought to be one of the only people in the UK using the technique and tours the country giving lectures to horse enthusiasts.
