In pictures: Walking the Clwyds

Nick shares photos from a 21 mile (33.79km) walk over the Clwydian Range from Moel Famau to Prestatyn. This photo of Prestatyn Hillside gives a view over the town. Note the blue roof of the Nova Centre and North Hoyle Wind Farm on the coastline

From Gwaenysgor you see across Meliden and over to the Orme

With the naked eye at Bodfari you can just make out the memorial on top of Moel Famau - several peaks into the distance

Don't be deceived, the coast is still 10 miles (16.09km) away from this point

The rain and clouds blow over Moel Arthur and Moel Famau in the distance

A view of the other side of Moel Arthur, and heavy rain made the challenge to walk over the Iron Age hill fort even harder

The weather can change quickly on Moel Famau so it pays to be prepared

It can be a pretty steep climb, and bad weather makes it feel quite grim

The car park at Bwlch Penbarras Pass is the starting point for many walking up Moel Famau
