Archive film: Valley Works at war

Watch an old film taken from 1940s government footage showing the work that went on inside the former top secret chemical weapons factory, Valley Works, at Rhydymwyn, near Mold.

At the time the film was made, it wasn't revealed where the site was - but the footage was used to explain to the public at that time why such an "odious gas" was needed. Only after the war could the location be revealed.
