Where are you from originally, and where are you now?

Oxford - now living in Mold, Flintshire.

How did you get started as an artist?

I spent 19 years as a potter in Chester and Mold, but 10 years ago I made a move back to painting again.

What medium/media do you work in?

Ink/bleach, oils, acrylics, linocuts.

How would you describe your work?

Portraits are fairly traditional but other work veers towards abstract.

What are your influences and inspirations? Do you draw inspiration from your local area?

I seem to love people watching, leaves and sheep. My Sunday walks with a friend usually go with a camera to capture any animals about.

Where has your work been shown?

I have shown mainly at Clwyd Theatr Cymru.

What are your views on the current scene nationally and locally?

I love tootling around north Wales in my Clio and admiring the scenery but I would love to see artists doing something else beside the Welsh scenery - what about the people, activities and any other aspects of life?
