Where are you from originally, and where are you now?

Originally I am from Wigan, but I moved to the Ceiriog Valley near Llangollen in 2004, and I love it!

How did you get started as an artist?

I completed a degree in Fine Art Ceramics at Leeds in 1998, and always did my clay work as a hobby, but in 2006 I went self employed with my ceramics.

What medium/media do you work in?

I specialise in ceramics, but also do educational workshops in other mediums.

How would you describe your work?

I make mainly sculptural ceramics out of functional forms, but do make the occasional functional piece.

What are your influences and inspirations? Do you draw inspiration from your local area?

I am inspired by issues of family life, domestic rituals and childhood memories.

Where has your work been shown?

I have exhibited at Theatr Clwyd, Denbigh Library, Rhyl Library & Gallery, Wrexham Arts Centre and have had work in Down to Earth in Whitchurch.
