Where are you from originally, and where are you now?

I grew up in Llangollen, Cefn Mawr and Ruabon. At the moment I'm living in sunny Chirk.

How did you get started as an artist?

As a child I loved to paint and draw as a means of escaping my surrounding environment.

What medium/media do you work in?

My most recent work combines the media of digital print, drawing and collage.

How would you describe your work?

Successive layering of emotive colour, expressive mark-making, symbolic imagery and text.

What are your influences and inspirations? Do you draw inspiration from your local area?

I draw my inspiration from both my surrounding environment, and the people within it.

Birdhouse are a group of artists, who are based in and around the Wrexham area. We have a page on Facebook, where we hope to use the space as a place where we can come together and inform others of the events, exhibitions, private viewings, workshops and courses etc in and around the Wrexham, Chester, Wirral and Oswestry area, and also to build friendships and network with fellow artists.
