Northamptonshire gets ready to raise money for Pudsey
Elsbeth Bagshaw and Mia Springett chatting for Children In Need
Children in Northampton have been talking non-stop to raise money for Children In Need.
Members of the Helen O'Grady Drama Academy took part in the event as part of National Talking Day.
The children chatted to their parents for two minutes about Pudsey and why they wanted to raise money for Children In Need.
The academy has held similar events across the country and is hoping to raise a total of £50,000.
The fundraising event is just one of many in Northamptonshire that have already taken place for the charity.
Children In Need helps to fund projects and organisations across the UK, that work with disadvantaged, disabled and terminally ill children.
This year, five projects in Northamptonshire have been awarded Children In Need grants.
Club 81 based in Thorplands has been given £14,808 to fund weekly football sessions to 200 young people aged 5-18, in one of Northampton's deprived areas.
A project run by the Northampton Bangladeshi Association, to provide a youth club for young Bangladeshi men, has been awarded £26,937.
Groundwork North Northamptonshire has received £54,100 to provide outreach support to disadvantaged youngsters aged 10-18 in Rushden.
£26,859 has been awarded to Thorplands and Thorplands Brook Co-operative Ltd to fund two youth workers to work on two different estates in Northampton.
Wellingborough Prison Visitors Centre has been given £22,875 for a play area and family support centre for children visiting their fathers and relatives in prison.
This year's Children In Need day takes place on Friday 19th, November.
