The night was full of fun, metal, fire alarms, dancing, and cups of tea. Being a community centre meant this gig was for under 18s, with a friendly atmosphere as well as a young lad going round making cups of tea for everyone. The main support was Arms of Atlas, they were a solid band who reminded me a lot of Funeral For A Friend, only having a slightly better singer. They were a good, solid and original band and definitely one to watch out for in the future. Then came the main act Next up were headline act You And What Army. Having been featured on BBC Weekender the day before this gig, the venue was packed in tight ready to get their dancing shoes on. YAWA kick started their set with an aggressive version of "I Am The Navigator". The crowd pretty much went crazy from the word go, and that was it! Lasers provided a nice backing through the whole of the set as we all raved, moshed, jumped and bounced hip-hop style. The track "25200 Degrees" from their debut EP was welcomed highly and had the whole crowd singing along. During the final song "Starcadia" the fire alarm went off cutting all the power on stage, this was because as Kieran put it YAWA were "On fire!" Or it could have been the smoke machines, we will never know. The song was restarted, one final rave out and the show was ended. All in all an amazing night full of great fun, everyone there enjoyed the show and that is all that matters. If you are interested in reading more of Eamon's reviews
