The Middle and Fast Lane Hogger Haters' Club (MFLHH) is a campaign by BBC Radio Northampton's Richard and Annabel to improve drivers' lane discipline.

By highlighting the issue of poor use of motorway lanes, it's hoped motorists will think more when at the wheel.

The message is to keep left unless overtaking and be aware of others using the carriageway.

The club is the radio presenters' way of commenting on the poor standards of driving in the county and beyond.

As the campaign has has grown the MFLLH Club has developed a number of sub-branches.

They include:

  • Tailgater Haters
  • Inappropriate Illuminator Haters
  • Slip-Road Overtaker Haters
  • Bad Indicator Haters
  • Mobile Phone Call Maker Haters
  • Lane Changer Haters

The MFLHH Club has many supporters and even its own theme tune - Driving in the Middle Lane by the comedian and folk musician Harvey Andrews. He is an honorary member along with many others, including the man who founded the website.

Richard and Annabel are keen to welcome as many members as possible, and draw up their roster of MFLHH-ers.

Speaking about drivers using correct lane discipline, Annabel said: "The world would be a better place if only people kept left unless overtaking."
