Get your objects on the History of the World website

BBC Northampton are holding a History of the World event in the centre of Northampton.

It will take place at Northampton Museum and Art Gallery on Thursday 18th February, from 10am to 4pm. The BBC Bus will also be there.

Please come along with an object that you believe tells a story about a time, place or community.

There will be people on the BBC bus to help you download your objects onto the AHOW website.

The museum will also have some of the specially selected Northamptonshire objects of history on display like the Anglo-Saxon inscribed comb bone fragment, the Amphyllis Washington embroidery and the Sibbertoft Hoard.

Bring the kids

There will also be many activities for children to take part in including: an embroidery demonstration, Roman armour costumes to try on, colouring and digging for treasure.
