Sheringham's Lifeboat Station has been saving lives on the north Norfolk coast since 1838.

It is run entirely by volunteers and manned only by a small crew, but its work has proved vital over the years to people stranded at sea.

The current Sheringham lifeboat is an Atlantic 85 rigid inflatable boat named The Oddfellows, after The Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows who donated the cost of the boat.
