Thetford Forest's 'Electric' light tours cancelled
The Electric Forest
A new version of the Electric Forest shows could take place in December 2011

'Electric' light tours that would have lit up the woodland at Thetford Forest during the night in February have been cancelled.

The Electric Forest shows were initially rescheduled for half term following heavy snow in December 2010.

They will now not go ahead because of poor ticket sales.

"We were gutted when we had to postpone in December, which was due to problems retrieving kit from the North East," said Culture Creative's Zoe Bottrell.

"When we re-scheduled the event for February we really believed that we could deliver the event at long last.

"However, advance ticket sales post-Christmas haven't been as fruitful as we had forecasted and unfortunately, as a small company, we are not in the position to take such a big risk in the current economic climate.

"We'd like to apologise unreservedly to those people who have already bought tickets and reassure them that a full refund will be available."

Culture Creative hope to bring a new version of the Electric Forest shows to Thetford in the run up to Christmas 2011.

To obtain a refund, visit the Electric Forest website or telephone the box office on 01842 814612.
