 Norwich 2
Norwich Market was overhauled in 2006 with a new layout, but it was the Normans who moved the city's market from Tombland to its location in the heart of the city. It remains the largest six-day open-air market in England. At the top end of the market is the Norwich war memorial garden which re-opened on Armistice Day 2010 following a £2.6m restoration project. The site had been out of bounds to the public for six years. The picture is updated every five minutes during daylight hours. If you discover a problem with this image, please e-mail
