Rackheath earmarked as eco-town

Village earmarked as new eco-town

Rackheath has been chosen as the site of a new eco-town which could contain 4000 new homes.

Developers have worked with climate change experts from the University of East Anglia to examine the plans.

However, local residents are opposing the plans and have organised protests, petitions and public meetings.

"The sort of prices that people are going to be able to pay... is not viable," said Roger Humber from the House Builders Association.
