The Teapot by Kayleigh Houghton

A student from the Norwich University College of the Arts (NUCA) has produced a film as part of the BBC's A History of the World project.

Kayleigh Houghton, 19, along with other second year students on NUCA's BA animation course, focused on objects from around the world which they feel have contributed to our culture, heritage and development.

"I picked the teapot because I think it's a very overlooked object. Everybody has some sort of teapot or kettle," said Kayleigh, who lives in Lowestoft.

"I really like the history behind the teapot and tea. The eastern origin really interested me and inspired my animation and my ideas," she added.

The NUCA students had four weeks take their film from concept to completion, with the final work assessed as part of their BA degree in animation.
