Luke Cook won Norfolk Search for a Star in 2008 with his magic show

Cromer's Pavilion Theatre is hosting a search for Norfolk's next big star on Saturday, 7 November, 2009. Last year, Norfolk Search for a Star was won by Luke Cook's magic act and he will appear on the judging panel for the 2009 competition. "It worked exceedingly well last year and we're looking forward to a good show this year," said Bruce Stratton, event organiser. The 2009 competition has attracted magicians and varied musical acts. Vocalists, including human beatboxers, have also entered to become Norfolk's next star. "There's a great pool of talent in Norfolk," said Bruce. The judging panel, including Luke and BBC Norfolk's Stephen Bumfrey, will spend Saturday afternoon undertaking the tough task of whittling 15 acts down to 10. The 10 successful finalists will then perform live on stage at Cromer's Pavilion Theatre from 7.30pm. Norfolk Search for a Star takes place at the Pavilion Theatre, Cromer Pier, on Saturday, 7 November, 2009. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10. For more information, visit the
