Pantomime
Llangynidr Pantomime Group presents a traditional family pantomime by Jim Sperinck at Llangynidr Village Hall between Thursday 18 and Saturday 20 February at 7pm. Tickets are available on the night.
Community
Start your gardening year with Llandysul's gardening weekend which is held between Friday 19 and Sunday 21 February. There will be a wide array of topical garden talks. The stage display is by Farmyard Nurseries, Llandysul's RHS Chelsea Gold medal winner, in collaboration with local florist, Angela Sadlerwill, who will transform the stage into a tableau of planting.
A fund-raising stall for the Haiti Appeal with crafts and bric a brac for sale takes place at the Saturday Market at the Memorial Hall, South Road, Aberaeron on 13 February 2010, open 9am to 3.30pm. There is also a raffle with prizes including a signed print by Robert Price.
KinoCafe is a new monthly event, bringing the more rare and stranger side of cinema to audiences at The Llanfyllin Workhouse. KinoCafe' second event is, The Search For Shangri-La, at 7.30pm on Saturday 27 February. The event is part of the BFI Mediatheque on tour programme. A selection of short films and animations by contemporary Chinese film makers from the Shadows Film Festival will also be shown
Music
An The Hat Band perform at The Wyeside, Builth Wells on Saturday 13 February. This performance is in memory of local actress and chorographer, Sally Cooper, who died last year.
Arts & Culture
Life on The Land, a bilingual exhibition giving an insight into the history of farming in Wales is shown at Aberystwyth's Morlan Centre until 26 February 2010. Opening hours are from 10am until noon and 2pm until 4pm
Come in from the cold and fire up your imagination with some tropical colour and creativity with Half Term Rain Forest Workshops at Crickhowell's Arts Alive. Children will experience some of the sights, sounds and smells of the rainforest and create outsized decorations for Crickhowell High School. Please call Arts Alive to book a workshop between Monday 15 February and Wednesday 17 February.
