Baaah! art pays homage to sheep
Baaah! art by Karin Mear and Nigel Evans
Most of Baaah! art is based on Nigel Evans original photographs which have been digitally enhanced

Brecon artists Karin Mear and Nigel Evans, jointly known as 'Baaah!!, are showing their work at the Globe at Hay Gallery.

The exhibition opened on Friday 20 November and runs until Christmas.

On show will be large pop-art-style images of sheep and other domestic animals against kitsch and cheerful backgrounds.

It pays homage to farm animals which can be seen on and around the Brecon Beacons.

The Globe opening times
Monday: 11am-5pm
Tuesday: 11am-5pm
Wednesday: 11am-11.30pm
Thursday: 11am-11.30pm
Friday: 11am-12.30am
Saturday: 11am-12.30am
Sunday: 11am-11.30pm

Karin Mear says the work is also influenced by vintage school photographs, where children were posed against wallpapered backgrounds.

Most of Baaah! art is based on Nigel Evans original photographs which have been digitally enhanced, but paint and other media also plays a part.

Also showing at the exhibition will be a video installation by Johnny Nigma, accompanied by a specially composed soundtrack by Nigel.
