BBC Manchester Introducing's Sam Walker

Sam Walker is here to start each Saturday (0600-0900) and to present Greater Manchester's new music in BBC Radio Manchester Introducing… (Sunday 2200-0100)

Sam Walker produced talent as diverse as Pat Sharp and INXS before deciding the other side of the microphone was where she wanted to be.

Her BBC Radio Manchester career began hosting an eight-hour music festival from Cathedral Gardens in 2006.

Sam was on air for much of our Sony Radio Award-winning coverage of the Rangers Riot in May 2008, and has been heard across much of our schedule including a year on the Late Show.

Sam also works in the coaching and feedback of new radio talent and is a passionate supporter of new music.
