Steve Saul

Steve Saul is the presenter of Manchester Now, which updates the city's top stories each weekday at 1230 and 1700 - or its daily Podcast.

Rollercoaster enthusiast Steve Saul worked in busy newsrooms at Preston and Leeds before coming to BBC Radio Manchester in 2006.

He was part of our Sony Radio Award Winning news team covering the Rangers Riot in the city centre in 2008.

It wasn't always as auspicious. At his first radio job, an in-store radio in Preston, the tannoy announcer used to regularly interrupt his show with news of the latest offers.

Steve's love of radio started young. At 13, he was the youngest hospital radio presenter in the UK.

Outside work, he collects vintage comics and is addicted to Lost and Family Guy.
