He's been here for over two decades, holding Greater Manchester's decision makers to account and putting real Mancunians on the air to tell their stories.

Born in Warrington, Allan Beswick's radio career began when he appeared on air as a consumer advice expert for a Liverpool radio station.

But it wasn't his first job. In previous lives he's been a soldier, a bus driver, a psychiatric nurse - and even a milkman. No stranger to early starts then.

His late night phone in for Red Rose Radio in the 1980s made him famous, sometimes for the right reasons.

This is his second stint on Breakfast, and has also presented a lunchtime phone in and a mid-morning consumer show.
