Future energy: wind power in the North West

Work has begun on building two massive new wind farms nine miles out to sea from Barrow.

Using 100 of the biggest wind turbines in the world, each the size of Blackpool Tower, it's claimed they will generate enough power for 320,000 homes.

In his series of reports called 'The Switch', environment correspondent Colin Sykes looks at the part wind power might play as a future source of energy in the North West.
