Manchester's Tim and Sam to top BBC gig at In The City
Tim and Sam's Finder Keepers
Folk four piece Tim and Sam's Tim and the Sam Band with Tim and Sam have been announced as BBC Introducing's headliners at In The City.
The band will top the bill above fellow locals Seerauber Jenny and The Steals for the joint BBC Radio Manchester and BBC 6 Music showcase.
Band leader Tim McIver has promised they will be "nice and slick" for the gig at Band On The Wall.
Also playing are out-of-towners Dry The River, Vinyl Jacket and Ruth Theodore.
Tim and Sam's Tim and the Sam with Tim and Sam released their debut album, Life Stream, earlier this year and have been busy touring it ever since.
Our first ever gig was at In the City four years ago, so it'll be great to celebrate our fourth anniversary at such an amazing venue for BBC Introducing
Between shows, they found a spare day to celebrate their growing success with the making of a video for their single Finders Keepers.
Tim said that the promo was "hard work" as they "did a solid 24 hour shoot, doing everything ourselves."
"We filmed it, played it, recorded it, mixed the audio and edited it all by ourselves.
"It was a great experience though and we feel it turned out well."
He said they had decided to make the video to showcase their live sound.
"We always get told that we're a great live band so we wanted some way of giving fans a taste of our show.
"We recorded a similar video a few years ago, which was very well received, so we thought it'd be nice to record a new version with some of our new songs.

"Finders Keepers is the first of four songs which will be uploaded when we've finished editing them."
That live show has been gracing stages around the country in support of fellow Manchester band, Cherry Ghost, and Tim said that he and his band mates have been enjoying the experience immensely.
"It's the first time we've been tour support and it has been fantastic.
"Their crowds have been very appreciative of our music and the band are some of the nicest people you'll meet.
"We can't wait to play at Academy 2 in Manchester as it's our home gig and will be the biggest crowd we've ever played to."
Before they take to that stage though, they'll be headlining for BBC Introducing in Manchester and BBC 6 Music at In The City.
Tim explained that he's looking forward to the show as he's a big fan of the music conference.
"In the City is fantastic; it has been very supportive of us over the years and every year we see lots of amazing new bands and meet lots of amazing new people.

"We'll have been on tour for a few weeks by then so hopefully we'll be nice and slick!
"We've been working hard on some new material and have been really enjoying playing them at the gigs, so [people can] expect to hear some of that."
