Lost Knives did their Electric Proms recording at the start of October
|
Hot prospects Lost Knives have been praising BBC Radio Manchester Introducing at the recording of their session for the Electric Proms. The band recently went to the renowned Maida Vale studios to do a set for the BBC festival after being put forward by the show. Guitarist Steven McInerney described the team as being "great to us" since they formed earlier this year. The band were one of four new acts who recorded sets for Electric Proms. In an interview running alongside their tracks online, Steven said the band have "had so many people get in contact with us because they have heard us on BBC Manchester or because [the team] have told people out and about about us." The show, presented on BBC Radio Manchester by Sam Walker on Sundays at 10pm, first played Lost Knives back in March, a few weeks after the band formed.
Daley said recording at Maida Vale was "a crazy experience"

Amongst the other acts who recorded at the Maida Vale sessions was Daley, another Manchester artist who has received coverage on the show. He was offered a recording session at Maida Vale after uploading a single track, Rainy Day, via the BBC Introducing website. In his interview, he described it as "a crazy experience" that was both "eye-opening" and "pleasant". Alongside his own tracks, Daley also did a version of the Oasis track, Champagne Supernova. Both Daley and Lost Knives recorded their sessions for Electric Proms at the beginning of October. The results can be heard
on the Electric Proms website
and on Sundays on BBC Radio Manchester Introducing from 10pm.
