Symphonic pop four piece The 1,2,3,4s are celebrating after being picked to play on the BBC Introducing stage at the Glastonbury Festival. Guitarist Mike TV described the band as being "very happy" about the news. The band, who all live in Manchester, recently released their debut single, You Do Something To Me, on the local Sounds Of The Suburbs label. They are now preparing to open the stage, which is in The Park area of the festival site, on Sunday 28 June. Mike said The 1,2,3,4s are really excited about the opportunity, adding that they "have played a lot of strange places over the last ten months and this will be the best." He also said that anyone coming to see them at Glastonbury will be in for a treat as alongside the songs that have got them noticed so far, they are also "looking forward to unleashing our new rockier songs too." The band are firm favourites of the BBC Manchester Introducing show, who nominated them for inclusion on the stage, and have been given plays on Tom Robinson's Introducing show on BBC 6 Music. The 1,2,3,4s play the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday 28 June. A full line-up for the stage and more information about the other acts playing it across the weekend can be found on the
BBC Introducing
