Introducing... with Sam Walker
BBC Manchester Introducing's Sam Walker
BBC Manchester Introducing's Sam Walker

Every Sunday at 10pm, Sam Walker brings you the finest and the freshest of Manchester's new musical talent, as part of BBC Introducing.

Brought up literally nowhere - in the middle of the Midlands - she escaped to the big city as fast as she could.

There, she rifled the shops in search of tunes to compliment her parents' Carpenters and Demis Roussos records.

She has subsequently bankrupted herself and had far too little sleep over the past 20 odd years.

Instead she's been getting out and seeing some amazing bands play live.

Now, she wants you to come to her, as BBC Introducing is all about showcasing new bands who have something original to say.

Every week on BBC Radio Manchester, there's a live session from a top Mancunian outfit, as well as a wealth of brand new tracks, news about what our local bands are up to and what great gigs are coming up in Manchester.

Get involved

If you want to get involved with Introducing, be that getting your track on BBC Radio Manchester, being featured on the website or even coming and playing a live session, then get in touch.
