The BBC Philharmonic presents a new piece of music celebrating the scientific theory of creation, or the 'Big Bang.'

'Wonder: A Scientific Oratorio' by Salford-based composer Alan Williams is being performed by the Philharmonic alongside the BBC Singers and Salford Choral Society, conducted by Tecwyn Evans.

The performance is accompanied by rarely seen images of deep space, sourced from the Hubble telescope and marks 2009, International Year of Astronomy.

'Wonder: A Scientific Oratorio' is at The Maxwell Hall, University of Salford, 27-28 November 2009
