Processions: a proud tradition

Rebekah Crabtree looks round a new exhibition which documents a proud Manchester tradition in processions and protests from Peterloo to the mass trespass of Kinder Scout.

The exhibition is inspired by, and includes exhibits from, Jeremy Deller's Sunday street parade for the Manchester International Festival.

Procession: an Exhibition is at the Cornerhouse from 9 July - 23 August 2009. Free.
