Antony and the Johnsons' performance with the Manchester Camerata at the Manchester International Festival was an 11 out of ten, according to reviewer Risa Hall.
The Chichester-born, New York-based musician performed new arrangements of his award-winning songs with the 36 piece Camerata, backed by a spectacular light show at the Opera House.
Risa Hall, a New York musician now based in Manchester, reviewed the show for BBC Radio Manchester.
