As London prepares to honour its fallen at Remembrance Services across the capital, many of our smaller war memorials face demolition.
With Remembrance Day coming up on Sunday, it's sobering to reflect on all those who valiantly fought and died for our country.
It's not just the poppies on the lapels that help us remember; their bravery is also commemorated in countless memorials across the capital.
But sadly, many of these monuments and plaques are now going to wrack and ruin, with more and more falling victim to vandalism, theft and chronic neglect.
