Award winning show

Vanessa saw off some very stiff competition to win the coveted Speech Radio Personality category of the 27th Sony Radio Academy Awards for her weekday show in May 2009.

This was Vanessa's second win in just 12 months. She was voted programme presenter of the year at the Frank Gillard Awards in late 2008 - a ceremony held exclusively for BBC Local Radio stations in England, recognising excellence and creative programming.
