The Big Screens in Walthamstow Town Square and Woolwich show highlights from some of the BBC's programmes and events as well as films created by local artists. New Content: 2 x Exposures Films - Exposures is the UK's largest festival of student image work, which takes place every year in Manchester. 7 x LOCOG Stories of the World Films - Through Stories of the World people of all backgrounds, from every part of the UK, will become 'curators' of the collections and objects held in museums, libraries and archives. These films capture the stories of a selection of people (from Edinburgh, Cardiff, Middlesbrough, Brighton, London, Manchester & Nottingham) who have already had this opportunity; they tell us about their favourite pieces from the collections they've curated. Unlimited - a film about the programme launched by LOCOG, to celebrate arts, culture and sport performed/produced by disabled and deaf people.

5 x UK Youth Volunteer Films - These films tell the stories of young volunteers who've helped their communities and themselves. They were made with support from the BBC and the Community Channel. 3 x LOCOG Lottery Films - These films highlight 3 good causes that the Lottery has helped fund. Charlie Dimmock, Lauren Laverne and Peter Crouch visit the projects to see how the money has helped. Playing as part of the LOCOG slot. 16 x BBC Film Network Films - Film Network is a showcase and community for up-and-coming UK filmmakers. This selection of films includes Fused, in the middle of the night whilst a family sleeps, another member of the household is on the look out for love. 2 x films from Streaming Museum - a new hybrid museum for the 21st century, presenting real-time exhibitions in cyberspace and public spaces on 7 continents. 1 x film from Napier University, Edinburgh - Will Astro Boy be able to save the earth from his enemy the Blue Knight?! 6 x films from Flip - A selection of films from last year's Flip Animation Festival to coincide with this year's festival. 2 x British Olympic Assoc. Sleeping Flowers - Yoko Fukushima (Projection Gallery). This kaleidoscope is consisted by physical elements (nails, various hairs). The waste parts of our body forms intimately poetic motives, in evolving in the zone of visibility bounded by a circle of light, as a symbol of the perpetual cycle of the life. They feign the phantasmagorical and spangled image like a dream, glorifying the rubbishes of our organic body. Tides and Times - a BBC21CC and RIBA London celebration of the river Thames and the cultural institutions along its banks, exploring the historical, ecological, geographical and social elements of what makes the river so special and such an iconic image of London. The project introduces primary school groups to London cultural institutions on the river through a series of workshops with art and architecture professionals.
